I just got back from STC Summit 2022, a week-long conference in Chicago. While there, I met a number of wonderful fellow tech writers, attended quite a few sessions, and observed trends in documentation best practices and tools.

Some of the tools I’m revisiting include the Adobe Technical Communication Suite and Oxygen XML. I’m also looking to dive into API documentation projects.

I had recently rejoined the Society for Technical Communication (STC) with a view toward leveraging both my web development and technical writing backgrounds. I used the latter to help me learn the former, and as I took on web dev projects, I often document what I learn. It’s very much a yin-and-yang approach. ☯
