This document explains, at a high level, the platform architecture on which the Internet Publishing Service (IPS) team developed Wildfire. It is an internal document written primarily for team members. It also explains some of the reasoning behind the team’s decision to build Wildfire as a Drupal distribution, as opposed to other content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla.
